This policy describes the FOR mobile app for iOS and Android. The website has a separate privacy notice.
Data stored on your device
The app does not require an account. Favorites, their order, recently played stations, the last station, language and theme are stored on your device; artwork may be cached. Directory searches and filters run against the bundled catalog. The app does not send search queries or directory click statistics to a directory service.
Audio, artwork and network information
When you play a station, your device connects directly to its stream provider. Artwork may be requested from its image host while browsing or playing. Those independent servers can receive your IP address and ordinary request information, and may be located in other countries. Their own privacy and retention practices apply. The app has no audio proxy; stream availability and transport security depend on the source and redirects.
iCloud favorites on iOS
When iCloud is available, the iOS app uses Apple’s iCloud key-value service to synchronize favorites, their order and deletion records between devices on the same Apple account. The data includes station details, change timestamps and a randomly generated per-installation writer identifier. Listening history and app preferences are not part of this favorites sync. Android favorites are stored locally; cloud sync is not currently available there.
Permissions and system services
The app checks network connectivity and uses system audio, background playback, lock-screen controls and supported car or audio-output interfaces. Android playback notifications are subject to system notification settings. The app does not request precise location, microphone or contacts access; the globe uses station or country reference coordinates, not your device location. No advertising or analytics SDK is integrated in the app. The app may write playback diagnostics, such as station identifiers and connection timing, to device system logs; those logs are managed by the operating system.
Retention, deletion and choices
Local data remains until you remove it or clear the app’s data; uninstalling removes local app data, subject to any device backup or restore. Removing favorites updates their sync state, but iCloud may retain station details in deletion records; uninstalling alone does not erase iCloud data. Manage iCloud access and backups through Apple’s system settings, or contact us about deletion. We cannot delete independent broadcaster or image-host logs; contact those providers about their retention and deletion practices.
